I was always a fan of Japanese dramas for about 6 years now then started exploring into Korean dramas about 3 years ago. I just started watching Taiwanese dramas recently. This is the 4th Taiwanese drama I've seen .I watched this drama online. I didnt expect much but I had to watch it since its the number one watched streaming drama online! Wow! I loved this drama. It has comedy, drama, tragedy, romance! Other than Chen Qiao En, the other lead stars in this drama werent really known to be lead top stars. Baron Chen and Bianca Bai are very new. But it all works out. Because of this drama, I must say, they have been so recognized already.

It's also so cute that even behind some of the scenes (like the tango scene), Ming Dao would come to watch the filming and try out acting as the lead!

I heard that the ratings of this drama went off the charts in Taiwan and it made the stars Qiao En and Ethan Ruan tear with happiness. Wow. Really, this drama is awesome with a great mix of stars, great mix of comedy, romance, etc. I only rated the story as 9 though because (this NOT being a SPOILER) the ending was SO corny! But other than that, 2 thumbs up! I loved it so much, I started watching the newer drama Invincible Shan Bao Mei (in which some of the characters of Fated to Love You come out in).

WOW. This has got to be one of the most underrated j-doramas around. I first wanted to see this drama because of the food. But it was more. Its really amusing and quite funny. I love how they connect the mysteries to food and analyze food. Being a foodie and a cook, it has made me appreciate food much more!

The acting was really good. Kuitan is acted out by Higashiyama Noriyuki. I had no idea who he was until I finished Kuitan Special (which was amazing and filmed in HONGKONG) and Kuitan 2. I looked him up and he is one of Johnny's entertainment's seniors. AWESOME. He sings and dances well too for the end song of Kuitan 2.

The music in Kuitan 1 was good, mostly classical music which was okay but in Kuitan 2, they made their group 'Trio The Shakinnn' (gotta love the name!!!) which has Higashiyama Noriyuki, Morita Go of v6 (and rumored husband of Ueto Aya--of attention pls drama) and the young actor in Kuitan. Their song was soo cute! They even performed it in Johnny's concerts and the fans would go NUTS/WILD! Haha. Fun, fun!

Overall, if you love food and mysteries, watch Kuitan. Personally, I liked Kuitan special and the humor of Kuitan 2 even more :-). Ah, as other people who have seen and commented about the drama in other sites, you will never look at food the same way again. Respect is what you will see for food!!

This drama is SO funny! Drama wiki says 'Loosely based on a 2001 South Korean film Doosabu Ilchae starring Jung Joon Ho. This drama uses the international title of the said film. The Korean title refers to a saying: "The boss, the teacher and the father are one". Doosabu Ilche spawned a 2006 sequel: Twosabu Ilchae (known as My Boss, My Teacher overseas).'. I read comments from people that they loved this version so much more than the korean film. So much funnier too, IMO.

I only gave the acting an 8 because Nagase Tomoya doesnt do anything new by acting mob like or have exaggerated expressions (like his character in Mukodono and Mukodono 2003). BUT he does a good job of getting laughs! He actually pulls it off as having a crush on a VERY young girl. Fine, he doesnt pass off as a high school student but that is what is funny! They keep joking about his looks in the drama such as how he has so much body and facial hair for a high school student!

I think the other actors and actresses did a good job in acting. They all helped in making Nagase Tomoya's character funnier. I especially LOVED how Tanaka Koki acted as his side kick henchman-- he kept wanting to beat up all the people who would talk to his 'boss' or treat his 'boss' a certain way.

The music is good of course because I am a fan of the opening and ending songs Nagase Tomoya's band (TOKIO) sing.

If you are looking for a light drama with a lot of laughs, watch this cute comedy. I think you wont be disappointed. Just be ready for Nagase Tomoya's slapstickness -- just keep in mind his character is so DUMB that he cant even add 5 +5 + 5 and it will all be OK! Hahahaha! :-D

Such a cute drama!!I didnt like the Opening song since it sounds sooo old. Hehe. But the chemistry of Ming Dao and Qiao En is good, well on screen and off screen then too.
