Because of an accident involving his ex-girlfriend, Moo Hyuk is left with 3 months to live. This leads him to head back to Korea in search of his biological mother. The discoveries he make change his heart from longing to revenge. The anger of betrayal he feels toward life and his mother lead him to some regrettable actions. Even with all this darkness surrounding him, he finds an unexpected source of happiness with someone he didn’t expect to love. Although he purposely creates suffering in the lives of those around him, he wishes with all his heart someone would stop him...change him. But how will he be able to love, hate, and seek revenge within the short three months of his life?

Finally, a K-drama that delivers, Written by bengalifob  - Saturday, 24 May 2008  - #1 Reviewer Story Acting Music Satisfaction Alright, storywise this drama doesn't offer anything new to the table. Also, a few (very few compared to many other dramas especially k-dramas) scenes in the drama were particularly slow. But I forgive all this because of the way the actors superbly carried this drama. If it weren't for them, I really think the series could've been a disaster that it thankfully is not.    I want to mention the directing. I really enjoyed the cinematography and the way some scenes are shown from many different view points/ angles. Also, the music is absolutely tasteful and is reminiscent of 1 Litre.     ISILY, overall, was a fantastic drama and I'm really glad I gave it a try, since many of my previous ventures into k-dramas left me fearful of more disappointments and wasted hours.  Tragic, not too melodramatic, Written by BOGCHI  - Wednesday, 26 March 2008  - Top 10 Reviewer Story Acting Music Satisfaction Story - It's about an adopted guy who was shot in the head, but lives knowing he'll die soon. He decides to look for his biological mother, and seek revenge. He falls in love with a girl, who turns out to be his "brother's" assistant, in the process, and that's pretty much how the drama start. It's a story about family, betrayal, love, and all those good stuff.     This drama's story was not unique at all. It's pretty much a bunch of sad themes (betrayal, adoption, tragic love story, revenge, jealousy) in one drama. But what made this drama different from the others was this one was actually engaging and that's what really matters right?     What I liked about this drama was the great acting the cast presented. The actors are pretty much Korea's best and they really delivered. Ji Sup's performance was subtle yet electrifying and Su Jung was sweet and emotional. One of the best acting you'll see.     What I didn't like about this drama was that some scenes were slow, the story was not very original, and it was quite predictable.     Despite its melodramatic theme, this drama wasn't all tears. It had its light, happy moments, more than you'll probably expect.   It's a good drama, but it's not amazing. I can't agree that this is the best drama out there. See it if you like melodramas, or want to see a good drama in general.
